Rules, Regulations, and Policies

SECTION I – GENERAL MARKET GUIDELINES:

  1. These rules are in effect for all farmers/vendors attending Family Festival. By signing this document or submitting your application online, you are signifying that you understand the rules and are agreeing to abide by the rules.
  1. When you attend our Farmers Markets, you must follow the laws and regulations of the appropriate Local County, State and/or Federal authorities. Rocket Event Productions Inc. (“R.E.P.I”) does not condone any violation of laws even if purported to be done because of or in the interest of the festival. For example, farmers/vendors must not block handicapped cut-outs on sidewalks, must not interfere with fire codes or violate traffic laws while setting up or for the duration of the market.
  1. Vendors must obtain a valid California seller’s permit. Upon completing an application a copy must be submitted.  Participants must also keep a copy in their booth at all times.  Sellers permit can be obtained at the California State Board of Equalization office, online at be.ca/gov or by calling (800) 400-7115.
  1. Vendors must obtain liability insurance. The policy must be a minimum of $1,000,000.00 and must list Rocket Event Productions Inc., as an additional insured.  The policy must be in effect prior to the start of the event and remain active during participation.  A copy must be provided at the time of approval.
  1. Food vendors shall be in compliance with the local Environmental Health Department and obtain a valid heal permit. A copy of your menu must be submitted with the application.  Booths that are cooking must have a proper rated fire extinguisher.  All cooking booths must have a tarp on the ground where cooking and preparing food.  Vendor is responsible for any and all damage and cleaning cost due to spillage stands in their booth ex. Oil, grease, stick.  Vendor will have first opportunity to have there are cleaned.  Each food vendor must carry a bag of cat litter in case of such spill.  A cleaning deposit of $250 may be required for all for prep vendors.
  1. Vendors are responsible for keeping their area cleaned during and after the event. Trash receptacles are provided.  Do not leave large articles of trash or cardboard boxes without consent of REPI staff.  Failure to comply may result in a cleaning fee of $20.00 A cleaning deposit of $100 may be required for non-food prep vendors.
  1. Vendors are to remain open until the close of the event. Early closure or breakdown is not permitted without REPI consent.  Failure to comply may result in removal from future events(s) and/or loss of fees.
  1. All literature, fliers, business cards may be displayed and distributed at your designated space only. This includes sales.  Please do not interfere with vendors conducting business.
  1. Smoking, alcohol or use of any illegal drugs or activity is prohibited.
  1. Television and radios must be approved prior to use by REPI. Once approved they may only be used at a low volume as to not interfere with vendors conducting business.  The use of PA systems is prohibited.
  1. Vendor spaces must be pre-paid one week in advance. Vendors may cancel participation in the event until a week prior to the event.  Cancelations within a week of the event forfeit their vendor fees.  In the event of rain or possibility of rain a decision will be made by 6AM on event day as to the event continuing.  If the event is cancelled all fees will be moved towards the following event or refunded.  Rain during event that causes early closure may result in discounted fees that will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  It is the vendors’ responsibility to contact REPI to opt in email/text notifications of cancelled events.
  1. Some events may require a city business license. Vendors must show proof of obtaining a license if required.
  1. REPI is not responsible for any damages due to acts of nature or by other vendors.
  1. Vendors must be set-up and ready to sell by the start of each event. Check times.
  1. Booths must be displayed in a clean neat presentable manner during the event. Table cloths cover the entire table to the ground.  All boxes, totes, bags equipment used or unused must be hidden underneath your table or in your vehicle. 
  1. All items on display and for sale must be approved by REPI prior to set-up. Weapons and drug paraphernalia are prohibited.  Items that may constitute trademark, patent, or copyright infringement is prohibited unless provided with proper consent.  The sale of items that may be considered counterfeit or misrepresenting of any kind is prohibited and may be turned over to law enforcement.
  1. Vendors may not share a booth unless approved by REPI.
  1. REPI reserved the right to refuse, assign and limit the amount of spaces/services thereby maintaining the diversity/quality of the event.
  1. Booth payment is due once an application has been approved and will be applied towards the first event participated.
  1. It is the vendor’s responsibility to bring items necessary to conduct business. Any and all signage must be secured at all times.  Canopies must be secured by weights at all times.  The use of generators is prohibited without prior consent.
  1. Failure to abide by any of the rules and regulations/policies may result in forfeiture of fees, suspension or removal from event.
